nineteen eighty-four
2000年读作 two thousand
2008年读作 two thousand and eight(或twenty O eight)
1008年读作 one thousand and eight(或ten O eight)
另外,还有一些非四位数的年份,它们有两种读法:一种是按照基数词的方法来读,另一种是一个一个数字来读.例如:
531BC读作 five three one BC(或five hundred and thirty-one BC)

㈣ 《1984》英语读后感
The story is written by George Orwell, who also wrote about Animal Farm, another story in which two parties fought against one another. Some resemblance between the two stories is that that they are both about revolution. And both times the revolutions didn’t work. Yet there are also many contracting points too, for even though they are about revolution, 1984 is only about two people against one Party, trying to work their way into the party that was against the other party against the first, whereas Animal Farm is about two entire parties. Another difference is that in Animal Farm the revolution is like a circle, after the animals pushed the humans away, the pigs came and took the position same as the humans, so it half worked, but in 1984 the revolution failed completely. I don’t like 1984 as well as I liked Animal Farm, for 1984 tells more of the cruelty of human nature, and I didn’t exactly want to know that all the huge lumpy stuff all around me have ugly stuff in their hearts (ok, I admit I have it too). I don’t exactly like stories having horrible endings where both the main characters betray each other and have their minds altered into something they never wanted. Not that I’m asking to be altered too, but still it’s unnerving. Anyways in Animal Farm it just was about a party doing this doing that and being tricked by officers, like in real life.

Ruling only in four cases will lose power: Or was conquered by external forces; either ruled incompetent people to revolt; either make a strong and discontented middle-man group appears; either lost their own rule confidence and will. This reason is not four single function, there is always the same extent. Ruling class if they can prevent the generation of these four reasons can be permanently in power. The final decisive factor is the mental state of the ruling class itself.
Three kinds of people exist forever, fine people, middle people, inferior people in this world. They play the role of the finest people to defend their rights and status; middle and upper class people want to swap positions, and others under unexamined, but the vast number of groups have been utilized

㈩ 求《1984》英语读后感,要原创的
Besides Animal Farm, 1984 is the second novel of George Orwell’s I have read. Comparing with Animal Farm, 1984 is more political and more penetrating.
In the novel, there’s a sentence:” If there was hope, it lays in proles”. However, how about the proles? They are wild, and they are a wild power. Maybe the party can’t control them, but it can regard them as animals and say:”Proles and animals are free!”
When I read the book, what impresses me most is the superiority of the party. It is invincible. “Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past.” Nevertheless, it is the party who controls the present, that is to say, it controls everything anytime. It always makes up lies and changes the history to maintain its own status. What’s more, it doesn’t give its members freedom. Even their marriages must have a recognized purpose which is to beget children for the service of the party. Besides, the party also wants to narrow the range of thoughts by using a new language called Newspeak.
To be a member of such a party, he must be very sensitive. Every day even every minute, he is in the danger of being accused of conspiracies. For example, Wiston-who believes nobody-always thinks that people who are close to him must be a spy or an agent. Thus, he misunderstands Julia who is crazy about him. How silly he is!
